One card - lots of features
Modern bank cards with a contactless chip can be used by the university not only as a financial instrument. In addition to their direct purpose - the accrual of scholarships or salaries of staff, they can also be a pass in access control systems, act as a library card or be an identifier for other information systems of the university.
A single card for various applications is convenient not only for the educational institution itself, but also for cardholders.
What kind of cards does the system support?
For identification in Sigur you can use any bank cards: MasterCard PayPass or Visa PayWave.
Learn moreEasy administration
In campus projects, all the processes of issuing or exchanging cards are usually handled by the bank, thereby taking away most of the burden and costs associated with administering passes. With such approach, the university receives from the bank only information about the issued cards, which, in turn, must be transferred to the ACS.
Thanks to ready-made tools for Sigur's interaction with various information systems, this data, as well as all information about students, applicants and staff of the university, including photos and even access rules can be synchronized on the ACS side - instantly and without errors.
In case of any changes, for example, expulsion of students, admission of new ones or transitions of students from group to group within the university, this information will be updated automatically.
Centralized management
Large university, as a rule, has a number of buildings, dormitories and other facilities, geographically distant from each other - sometimes located in different cities. Thanks to the Sigur architecture, you can always link all branches into a single system, centrally manage access and monitoring all events occurring at the sites.
Support of any distribution
Sigur's architecture is designed so that all devices can be linked into a single system, regardless of their geographic location. Most Sigur controllers are standard IP-devices that can communicate with the system server, including via the Internet.
Learn moreMultipurpose security system
Sigur is integrated with dozens of popular video surveillance, security and fire alarm systems. This allows you to see the most detailed picture, promptly reacting to events requiring attention. Also you can configure various automatic reactions of one of the systems to events in the other, for example, Sigur unlocks doors and turnstiles for evacuation in the case of a fire alarm.
To ensure greater rigor, access by proximity card can always be supplemented with an additional feature - for example, biometrics, including face recognition. After swiping the card, the system will automatically check whether the person is actually in front of the access point. Otherwise, access will be denied.
Time & attendance
The data collected by the access system can also be used to calculate attendance hours. Sigur supports schedules of any complexity with various algorithms for calculating, so for each of the groups of employees you can create a schedule that fully meets the specifics of its work.
Besides of the opportunity to organize access control at the entrance lobbies, you can always expand the system by equipping additional access points - these can be teachers' offices, laboratories or storage rooms. Besides improving safety, it can also increase the accuracy of counting and attendance hours. For example, this may be relevant for laboratory employees, whose attendance time, for example, will be counted only when they are actually in the workplace.
Mobile terminal
With the Sigur mobile terminal, you can monitor the attendance of classes or the popularity of a particular course.
Learn moreSuccessful practices
Proper organization of interaction between all stakeholders: university, bank and integrator of security systems is a very important process, especially at the stage of implementation. Having extensive experience in such projects, we also take an active part in its development - from helping to design of entrance lobbies to prototyping the interaction between all information systems within the campus.
Dozens of similar deployments have been implemented in technological partnership with leading Russian banks - Sberbank, VTB, GazPromBank and Rosselkhozbank.
